Akari 75A Pendant Light

In 1951, Isamu Noguchi, an American/Japanese artist and designer, began creating the Akari 75A Pendant Light Sculptures. These beautiful pieces were crafted with over 100 hand-made Shoji-paper models and are available as table lights, standard lamps, or ceiling luminaires. Noguchi named this series ‘akari’ after the Japanese terms for brightness, light, and lightness. This collection is proudly featured at the Vitra Design Museum.
